A Note on the Creators
This project is the collaborative effort of three Haitian-American creatives—Stephanie Pierre, Chris Larco, and Thony Lui—whose personal connections to Haitian culture have informed every aspect of this presentation. Drawing from their respective backgrounds in community organizing, graphic design, and multimedia storytelling, these creators have woven together a visual narrative that honors the multidimensionality of Haitian-American experiences.

Stephanie Pierre, MBA
Stephanie Pierre, MBA is a visionary urbanist, cultural architect, and creative placemaker transforming ordinary spaces into vibrant hubs of community connection. At the intersection of cultural storytelling, economic development, and social impact, her work breathes new life into shared environments. After transitioning from a career in mental health nursing as a Practical Nurse nearly a decade ago, Stephanie has reimagined countless community spaces through innovative programming and strategic partnerships that bridge diverse skill sets. Among her accomplishments, Stephanie takes particular pride in spearheading NYC's inaugural Haitian Heritage Parade in June 2023. Equally significant is her five-year journey as a yoga instructor, creating sacred spaces that reconnect participants with ancient practices and empower personal transformation. Stephanie's academic foundation includes a B.A. in Sociology with double minors in Business Administration and Africana Studies from Stony Brook University, complemented by an MBA in Risk Management and Healthcare from Metropolitan College of New York.
